The Egyptian Financial and Industrial Company obtained for the first time the approval of the Environmental Affairs Agency for the regularization plan on 30^th Nov 2021 in cooperation with Zewail University of Science and Technology - The Egyptian Financial and Industrial Company recently obtained the following environmental approvals:

Environmental approval No. 198 dated 18^th Jan 2013 regarding the rehabilitation of the Simon Carves sulfuric acid production unit.
Environmental approval No. 322 dated 29^th Jan 2023 regarding the rehabilitation of gas washing and absorption towers in the phosphate fertilizer production unit Environmental Approval No. 1148 dated
2^thApr 2023 regarding the collection and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste (liquid non-liquid)
The Egyptian Financial and Industrial Company has put in place a radical and final plan to match the concentration of sulfur gases emitted from the Simon Carves sulfuric acid production chimney, where it has completely rehabilitated the unit, changing the single absorption system to the double absorption system in which the conversion rate reaches more than 99.8 in cooperation with one of the largest international companies in designing and implementing acid production units, and the rehabilitation of the unit has already begun.

The Egyptian Financial and Industrial Company has taken corrective measures on a permanent basis to increase the efficiency of the washing and absorption towers of fluorine gases resulting from fertilizer production processes by completely changing the Bradley normal sober towers system to the Venturi system. This is done in the presence of consultants from the New Zealand company Arametec. The rehabilitation of the fluorine gas washing and absorption system has already begun.

The procedures for connecting the chimneys of the financial company completely to the national environmental monitoring network have been completed, and a contract has already been signed to supply sulfur gas measuring devices for the German unit, where 60% of the value of the devices for the German unit has been paid. We are currently in the contracting stage with one of the companies specialized in supplying fluorine gas and dust measuring devices.

The financial company's vision for sustainability has been activated, as it is currently establishing a large station to treat and filter the water entering the company from the Nile River, which will result in Reducing and minimizing the amount of water discharged to the Ganag drain, thus maximizing the use of every cubic meter of water. For your information, the financial company has succeeded in reducing the amount of water discharged to the Ganag drain from 150 cubic meters per hour to 80 cubic meters per hour. The company hopes that in the near future the amount of water discharged will be zero.

A hazardous waste warehouse has been established that meets the environmental requirements for this type of warehouse.

The company's walls have been raised with sheet metal panels, which prevents and traps any dust outside the company's walls that may result from weather effects such as winds and storms (the road is the companies' street). The aesthetic appearance was also taken into account.
